Deirdre McKenna is a native of Dingle town. She has been working in West Kerry as a professional visual artist since graduating (in Fine Art Painting) from the Crawford College of Art and Design in 1999. She is one of the founding members of the West Kerry fine art printmaking group Meitheal Eitseála– est. 2010 to promote and develop printmaking skills in the area and to support printmakers by providing a professional open access printmaking studio, exhibition gallery and education program me. Over the years Deirdre has exhibited her work and curated a variety of group and solo shows locally, nationally and internationally.
