1. the 3 work so well together there’s so much character and story going on in these .. I could look at them for a long time , great work

   • Thanks, they were a series of paintings I did when Jimmy Deenihan (now Minister for Art, Heritage & the Gaeltacht) asked me to take part in an exhibition on the theme of ‘the Bog’ back in 2007. The exhibition was originally shown in Fingue, Co Kerry and then travelled to New York and Chicago the following year.
     I was very luck the day I decided to make a visit to the bog to make a start on some pieces. Meeting these three characters made my day. They even insisted on sharing their sandwiches and tea with me!
